Well the clutch is a tex twin disc and rated to like 1000hp.And stock t56 trannies are pretty strong actually.

I am not doing 6000rpm slipping launches ,can dump the clutch and not hurt the dana and not powershifting but granny shifting the trans. I am not roadracing the car staying in wot very long this car is too scary to stay in wot very long .You can't go wot easily in 1st and second anyway do to traction issues ,third hooks up pretty good with the nittos but have not hit redline in 3rd yet.

I am hoping to order the new rpm stage 5 by beginning of august and hoping to have it installed sometime in sept /end august window. Guess depends on how long it takes to show up .They said a few weeks but they won't take deposit to start building it so have to front all the money at once it looks like.
I am going to try to talk them into starting it with say 2000 down.
Trans is like 5200 bucks with all the best parts.US.Have pretty much everything else needed to do the swap. New pro yank 3400 extreme stall, flexplate,arp bolts, new lokar dipstick,crossmember , wiring harness,trans cooler.Still need driveshaft and will need hptuner file that can run the 4l80.

Believe me I want that auto in there. Shifing has gotten old to me.

Updates on the 99.
Working today on stenting the inlet tubes which was minor defect on the original aps kits. The turbo air inlet tubes would suck shut past about 10psi.
So doing them now to insure that if do want to try a bit higher boost level have the option to.
Also shortly be doing final hook up of the eboost2 boost controller. This controller also has provisions to ramp in the boost by various methods, rpm, time, to name two and pretty sure by gear. This of course can help the car hook up the power.

Tuning is ongoing but so far car is doing not too bad. Idle is steady and close on afr, still rich on decel but working on it. Wot is looking pretty good as well but still need to dial in whats called the VE tables with some cruising around.
Changed out one 02 sensor to new one. Second one requires the starter to be dropped to change it unless move it back to rear bung but think want to keep that bung free so can use it for the non fixed mount wideband that does the datalogging.
Have permanent wideband being mounted on the drivers side for 24/7 monitoring. Will also be hooking up incar fuel pressure sensor shortly. Have nitrous pressure sensor as well. These sensors simply go into my aeroforce guages so lets you have like 9 guages but only need to physically mount 3. Think will still be adding egt and oil temp and likely tranny temp.

Still waiting waiting on the new mags. New back tires are already here,got the firestone 285/17 wide ovals for daily driving.Couldn't afford michelin ps2s. and don't expect backs to last to long depending... Still need to purchase fronts.

Can't do the drag radials until get second set of 10.5 inch mags and getting this first set is proving difficult. No real need for the drag radials until the auto is in the car so hopefully within a month or so will be able to get the extra mags. Have access to 16 inch et street radials if do want to try out some stickier rubber.At least now have a rear end in the car that am not afraid to break.

When get back from week or so holidays after leaving to lake next monday will be installing stock height springs, doing some minor stuff so can run a front sway bar again just need to do some spacers and shorten enlink to clear the aps intercooler pipes.
The new c5 z06 brakes will likely be installed pretty much at the same time.
Have most of the hardware,calipers ,front conversion brackets and just need to get front rotors and front and rear pads.Not sure yet if my current stainless lines work or if need different lines.Hoping they do.
Always say if you are going to go fast be sure you can stop fast.

Its tempting to clean up the car a bit and enter it in maybe that car show in town on the weekend or balgonie but thnk will sit out this year and put it in lots next year. I kind of like to have it finished up,stripes on, all emblems the way I want them, with some signage about the car ,new car mats,everything neat and clean and finished inside the car.

I'll damn near loose your shoe. Cheap shoes WILL have the bottoms ripped off leaving you with a curling slider and the 'grip' of your shoe stuck the the tarmack.
They spray the WHOLE track with tons of VHT.

I haven't presonally been to SIR, but I'm pretty sure they don't spray the whole 1320' with VHT.

Fine thought SIR prepped good on certain days. LIke test and tune and main events.
I think I can hook up my car with my boost controller using it by time or rpm or gear.
I think it should hook decent at around 600 to 650rwhp where it is now or maybe 700 it seems to hook on the street on the nittos in third and fourth decently.
I would expect much bigger problems at 1000rwhp power level but was not going to run that right off. But as said can't run under 600 to 650rwhp without changing out gate springs and they are not going to be easy to change out once put in 4l80 it gets very tight with the gates.

Anyway enough theory its boring me. Car is currently fast or certainly feels fast to me and everyone in it including people like Doug that know fast .
Car is going to only get faster as add a few pounds and tweak out the tune.
So don't really give a crap. At least now don't lose to stock hondas since can go wot and hit full boost without machine gun crap.

Anyway today went fine. Both inlets are stented for high boost. Threw on the stock back springs ,do fronts in a week or so.

Threw backs on the 96z too today. Backs of course are so easy its not funny. Drop the two shock bolts and the springs pop out when you hang the diff. Cars look kinda neat with the rake now. But of course will be putting the stockers in front of the 96z shortly as well.

I hate the gap but Regina roads do blow goats.
And handling takes a hit too with the higher center of gravity. Oh well maintenance gets easier.

Went for evening cruise last night after things cooled down. Turbos of course like cooler air. Car felt great. Happy camper right now.

Auto trans is 5200 US. So first want to buy it when dollar is high not low.90 cents is getting better.Second don't necessarily want to use credit to buy it.
Trying to pay cash for stuff these days. Third waiting on some funds from various places.

So its not a matter of time to put it in.. Sure can have it in a weekend. And for sure want it in the car. But till get it in not going to park the car but not abusing the car needlessly.

12.1 on the first run, 11.7 and 11.8 on the others @ 118mph
He said he normally runs mid or low 11's @ 130.

Nice mustang but it has whipple supercharger which has tons of low end torque and for sure will have much more problems with traction than a turbo setup with controller that can ramp in boost.

Centrifugals obviously ramp in boost by rpm so they also help out in traction department.

I am also still considering variiable race logic traction control .It might work good at the track and would definitely be good idea on the street.
